Allergic reaction to Deprovera

I had a deprovera shot 12 years ago and landed up having surgery as I had an allergic reaction. Ever since then I have been breaking out in a welt when it is close to the time of getting my monthly's where they had operated on my butt cheek. Could there still be a trace of deprovera in my system?
