I spoke to Aa again - Stoat is providing some good advice on a number of fronts, and Aa has had some help with the puppy from one of her neighbours. I'd love to tape our conversations - they're as wide-ranging and interesting as any digression thread. Very Happy

The last I heard from MA was in an email from Saturday evening when he was writing from a Kinko's. His new puter is in

ICU at the Computer horse pistol.
I believe the old puter finally gave up the ghost completely.

Thank goodness the ice cream truck came by just about the time we got our power back.

Nope Stradee. Heat/humidity index. But certainly bad enough.

And speaking of missing friends, anyone seen or heard of Pifka recently?

Great Ball's of Fire, ehBeth....... That's hotter than down here in Texas. I bet you guys aren't used to heat either. So, be careful and keep the A/C going.

Yeah, where in the world is the Pif?

Yup, matter of days, now.... Tell the dear boy, MA, to go to tigerdirect.com. Best way to go. Get the best barebones kit he can afford and pay someone $50 to help put it together.
