Well, Danon, if you will be inside, then you will have time to fashion a new thread?

Saw two splendid shows on local PBS outlet last night. If they haven't hit your area yet, they are must watching. (Three if you count the Nature episode on the formation of Earth).

The first was a National Geographic Special on the Big Bear Rainforest of coastal British Columbia, with bear-killing wolves who swim in the ocean, white grizzlies, and salmon DNA in the tops of cedar trees. Great. Learned about scaps too (sp?). And someone is letting clear-cut logging take place there. Aiyee!!!!

The following was "Wide Angle", which just gets better and better. This was about decline in fish population, over-fishing,s decommissioning of fishing fleets, and EU regulations re fish catch. Sustainable ocean and marine population.

Also, how deep nets for cod are scrapping the bottom of the ocean floor around England, raising real concern about creating 'dead zones' there.

You don't mess with Mother Nature without consequences.

Clicked.

sumac,

OK, I will begin preparations for a fresh thread. It's going to be #63 - coincidently my age.........

Hmmmm, details, the tiny things that make rain forests valuable - Hmmmm.

Have you noticed how things change when viewed from different perspectives? Parallax = the apparent displacement or the difference in apparent direction of an object as seen from two different points not on a straight line with the object.

I recall a movie of that name. With the word 'View' of course.

Hmmmmmmm............................
