Fine little puppies. I can't wait to see if they look anything like my dog, who's beagle/cocker spaniel.
They are absolutely beautiful!
They are cute little devils, nothing is as much fun as a puppy.
The vet is coming Tuesday and I assume he will be able to tell which ones are spaniels like because he's going to dock the tails of the spaniel ones.
Gracie is eating and drinking but has not gone out to pee or poop since the pups were born. She refuses to leave them. She's extremely attentive. A good mommy. I'm going to call Dr. Bob and see what he says about that although I expect to get a she'll go when she's ready type response.
I like puppies . . .
If properly prepared with a good sauce . . .
Sorry, Aunt Bee . . . i couldn't resist . . .

What sweet little pups :-D
Yes, papa Gus looks like your avatar, dragon. He's so pretty. We were really hoping for at least one with his coloring.
Gracie has turned into the biggest MOTHER! My gosh! I had to take the blanket out of the tub to wash it and I put a clean flannel sheet in to cover the bottom of the box. The sheet isn't as "fluffy", which I thought was a good thing cause the puppies keep getting lost in the folds. So, Gracie looks at it and starts whining at me, kinda a combination howl / whine/bark. High pitched! So I show her that she can fluff this one up some too, but she isn't buying it. She stands there looking at her puppies (ears perked, head turned) then back at me like I'm some kinda witch for having ripped the home right out from under her precious babies.
THEN she actually goes into the other room and gets a sheet that I had just taken from the dryer. She's trying to kick it around and fluff it and comes to get me to carry it in to the box for her. I put it in the box and she tries to fluff it up, but starts barking/howling again cause it just isn't good enough.
Geez! Should I tell her she's gonna spoil them rotten if she keeps this up?

Big chuckle at how wonderful dogs are.

First priority... the entire kitchen/eat in area is starting to stink like a cesspool, even with changing and washing the linens...what do we do about that? Stickup?
Eat out . . .
And do something for that poor doggy momma, sheesh, don't you have the decency to provide comfortable accomodations ? ! ? ! ?
I'm an old farm hand, but continue to be amazed by animal instinct. Truly amazing how they know exactly what to do, and somehow communicate if they need help.
I'm also taken with the way she looks at them. I can actually see the love she feels for them, and the pride when we tell her what a good mommy she is.
I'm glad to see that she won't settle for second-best in matters concerning their bed linen . . .
I hope that you are giving her sheets with at least a 200 thread count
