But the zygote has the DNA of the mother and the father, doesn't it? And it is alive
and the same thing applies to sperms, MA.

Really? (I'm smiling, reading myself to laugh)
real life wrote: The unborn has his own distinctive DNA. His DNA is not that of the father (they don't match) nor is it that of the mother (they don't match).
So, my sperms don't have "distinctive DNA," which got there when my mom and dad had sex to have me? Don't I have my mother's and my father's DNA
and therefore, my sperms got it too?

And so do I
and my sperms.
real life wrote: Neither the sperm or the egg are human beings because they lack the requisite number of chromosomes (46) to be a human being.
When did you hear this nonsense? Where do you think the DNA resides, Curly? DNA resides in the nucleus of a chromosome. So, if I want to clone myself, do I need the DNA of the mother (host) too? Eh, Einstein? My clone wouldn't be considered a person if it came to this world?
real life wrote: No matter how long the sperm or the egg is protected and nourished it will never be a human being.
Why not? According to the nonsense being argued on this thread, about a piece of protein being call a "child," why can't the sperm be called a human being?
The sperm and the egg both carry just 23 chromosomes and do not constitute a human being, get it? [/quote]
I do get it. But your argument loses steam when you introuduce such nonsense.
But they have (the sperm and the egg) to be fertilized to be considered a child? Be that as it may
the cells don't share the 23 and 23 pair of chromosomes right away. So, before this process is accomplished, the "child" is not a child
just a piece of protein growing and developing to soon become a "child"?
real life wrote: The ridiculous argument of abortion supporters that 'an egg is not a chicken, therefore the unborn is not a human being' is just evidence of ignorance of basic biological facts; or maybe just the willingness to conceal and ignore them while hoping others are ignorant.
The words are out there
use definitions accordingly.
