On our baby list:

Clara
Anna
Abigail - Abby for short

Our Favorite List since we started dating:

Clarice (sadly we got this from Hannibal ....pronounced Claire-reece)
Madeline - Maddy for short

no matter how hard we try to come up with names, Madeline, Clarice, and Abigail are the ones we seem to be stuck with. I love abigail, but everyone seems to have it now.

gut still says the bean is a boy, but I'm a worry wart and have to plan ahead....just in case. Wink

Ava is pretty, but I don't think we LOOK like we'd have a kid named Ava. ...if that makes sense.

Sorry Very Happy

I meant I liked Abigail as much as Madeline. I wish my husband was more vocal. I can't tell what he likes more... I think he LOVES Clarice, but I lean more towards Madeline Clarice (our last name).

What book is that from?

I don't know of any book using that name for a character.
It's a Gaelic name, the equivalent of Joan or Jean.
(Pronounced Sho-vonn)

I also love Madeline (my mother's name).

I like Madeline too and like you said you can make it cute for a little girl calling her Maddie.

Abigail is very pretty too, but you are right it is very popular now. I know several including a brand new family member.
