Need Latin expert for brief translation

Hi, I understand the English translation of the Latin "ad astra" to be "to the stars". With the recent plethora of discoveries on black holes, it seems required to have the translation for "to the dark stars". In Google Translate I find the Latin form to be "est ad astra tenebras".

Are any Latin experts able to comment on the quality of this translation, or, suggest one of their own? Thanks for any thoughts.
