A friend of mine just sent this to me and I thought it was worth mentioning.

Seven women have died after inhaling a free perfume sample that was mailed to them.
The product was poisonous. If you receive free samples in the mail such
as lotions, perfumes, diapers etc. throw them away. The government is
afraid that this might be another terrorist act. They will not announce
it on the news because they do not want to create panic or give the
terrorists new ideas. Send this to all your friends and family members.

Thanks Craven. I'll send that site along to my friend. I thought it might not be legit, but I thought better safe than sorry.

They're all over the place and I personally find it frustrating because you end up not knowing what to believe.

Is there any way you can get rid of this question since it's just a hoax?

Gezzy- I think that it is better that we keep it in. One of the things people need to be educated about is internet hoaxes. They are all over the place. I, who check EVERYTHING, have been taken in more than once, so don't be embarrassed.

Think of it like this. You have provided a great public service! Very Happy

How safe are those inserts, we find in all of our magazines?

New Haven- I don't know about magazine inserts (they could fall out, and you could trip over them. Very Happy ), A lot of people are concerned with the pages in women's magazines that are permeated with perfume. Many people are allergic, and I have read stories of people getting sick when they read one of those magazines!

I collect all the perfume inserts, squeeze them papers in a bottle and when the bottle is full, sell them for a profit Laughing

Actually, I think it is a great way of sampling perfumes - I really dont wanna spend $50 for a perfume which does not stay on my skin for long

Guatam -- Is this different in London? In the states you can go to any perfume counter and ask them if you may try a scent. They hardest thing is to not try one from one counter, then go to the next for a sample, and the next, and the next. That's just ONE reason we have to go shopping frequently!!

Piffka - it is the same here. But the problem is that I need to know if the perfume stays on my skin for long. Like Gucci Envy stays on for abt 8 hrs or so but Cool Water for only abt 2 hrs.

Also, there are so many samples at a shop that I forget which one was which if I try them all, and ofocurse all the smells get muddled up.

Oh, and I hate cosmetic counters....

Hebba -- pay attention! Makeup??? No, no, no. Perfume!!

Guatam -- Have you tried Gucci Rush? All those cedar and deep woods smells? It lasts. Have even thought of wearing it myself, but so far have held back.

It is for men... I bought some for my son and he wears it often. A lovely scent, IMO.

Hebba! I was thinking... as an artist in wood... this would be the perfect fragrance for you -- would go with that sawdust.
