How do I permanently delete U2 from my iTunes?

U2 made a deal with Apple a few years back that their album Songs of Innocence would be automatically downloaded into iTunes without the knowledge or consent of users. Look it up. It really happened. I have tried a couple of different ways to purge it from my iTunes but it keeps coming back.

Has anyone else encountered this and have you figured out how to get it out?

Isn't there some way to skip their stuff? In other words, bypass it and automatically get to the next spot.
