I was listening to a radio show a couple of years ago and the speaker ended his remarks with a Latin phrase. To the best of my recollection, the phrase was "pro patriae." I hope I heard correctly and that I am spelling correctly. Does anyone know what the phrase means?
It was probably pro patria, for the country (especially in the sense of
one's fatherland, native land or country).
...or if it was patriae, then perhaps there was another word in
there. For example, pro patriae amore means "for the love of
the country".
