wasa/waza (technique)
ki (energy)
shin (spirit, attitude)

Thank you

Hi Tony, Welcome to a2k. I can't guarantee these are correct, but here's one for "waza."

Perhaps CI can verify that these are correct.

Only waza seems to have a similar character. The others depend on how it's used, but I see no similarity between yours and what's shown in the translations.

Thanks CI, I just edited it so there is no mistake.

I just did an image search and posted the ones I saw repeated with the same symbol and name.

Japanese on Computers
Hiya !!

My first post to this board. I used to have lots of troubles with japanese on computers. windows XP is pretty good, but anything older is a bit of a hassle. often you need to download the japanese IME.

If you do a google search for 'Jim Breen Japanese' you will find a web page that has links about how to set up japanese on your PC and one of the most extensive on-line dictionaries for eng-jap

Hope that helps

Immoratilty, like most japanese words can use a different symbol depedning on the context used.

Most likely you mean
永生 【えいせい】 eisei (n) eternal life; immortality
litterally - enternal life

or
不死身 【ふじみ】 fujimi (adj-na,n) invulnerability; immortality; insensibility to pain
literally - no death to the body

不死 【ふし】 fushi (n) immortality; eternal life
literally - no death

as you can see, just choosing a single word can be pretty hard. Ideally you want to ask a native japanese person what is commonly used.

One comment about using Japanese/chinese as tattoos (this is my little rant, aimed at no one in particular)

What would you think of if you saw a japanese guy with a big tatoo on his arm that said 'POWER' or 'DEATH' in nice big english letters? I think I would laugh. Kanji may look cool, but to japanese/chinese its just normal letters. Thats how its seen to them!
rant over.
