Radiation headache, help!!!

Reply Mon 13 Jun, 2005 02:08 am
Ive had 3 mobile phones over the years and Ive dreaded using them as they have all given me headaches within seconds of getting close to them.

Last weekend I bought a portable dvd player and much to my dissapointment it does the same thing.Ive had a horrid headache since Saturday.

Is there anything I can do other than constantly take headache tablets?

A phone is my only contact with any kind of social life.
And I want a portable dvd playe, Ive wanted one for ages and I finally treated myself, I want it I want it i want it I want it and no one can take it away from me!!!!!!

Its so annoying!!anything with a potential for enjoyment gives me a headache.

How about wrapping it all, except the screen, in tin foil?!

material girl- As they say, "You pay your money, and you take your choice". I would not use any gadget that caused so much distress.

I am wondering. Is the volume on your phone and DVD player turned up too loud? That certainly WOULD give you a headache. Try lowering the volume, and see what happens.

If you do that, and still get headaches, you might want to be checked out by an ear nose and throat doctor, or an audiologist.

As far as I can work out it has nothing to do with the volume.I dont use my phone to call people, mainly texts, the last one i sent was friday.
The player isnt on loud either.

So, do you think if I paid more it wouldnt effect me?Other players are only £20/£30 more.

material girl- How is your neck? Are you holding your head in a peculiar way when you are using the phone/dvd player? If you had a problem with a disc in your neck, that could very well cause a headache.

I doubt very much that your headaches are being caused by radiation.

Hmm, Im not holding my neck in any way inparticular that Im aware of, but its an idea I suppose.Il experiment with that.

Its really just a case of, as soon as I get with in a foot of my phone it makes me feel like my insides are being squashed and muffled which leads to a headache, this dvd player makes me feel the same and heavy/hot.

Im not saying Ive cracked it but I did something last night which meant I could watch my dvd player with about a 1% headache.

I took out my tongue bar.

I suppose it attracts radiation.Like a golf club to a lightening bolt!

Oh! Shocked

Hey, wait a minute. What about people who wear earrings? I have never gotten a headache from my cellphone or CD player, except when I played the music too loud.

Im gona give it another go tonight.

I wasnt wearing earrings and had taken out my tongue bar.
Id do an experiment with my mobile phone right now (I have eariings in now)if I had the guts but if my theory is wrong Im gona have a headache for the rest of the day so I wont.

Hmmm not a metallly knowledgable person(no kidding I hear you cry).I dont know how much metal or what type is in earrings but I believe a tongue bar is a big chunk of stainless steel which could make a great 'conductor'.

My old boss had to have her metal fillings replaced as they found they were making her feel groggy and ill!!

Anyhoo, its just a theory for now, Im gona experiment again tonight so Il let yuo knw.

Hmmm. A tongue bar. Do you happen to have heavy metal objects pierced through your hands, like hammers?

NO, I believe Jesus had nails hammered through his hands but I cant claim to be in the same league.

Mwohahahaha, maybe I have mettalic powers that Im not aware of, I could be an X-(wo)man,tho getting a headache isnt exactly a power.

Used it again last night(saw the end of Haunted Mansion, such cool ghosts)No headache.

The hole in my tongue has closed up, apparently its the quickest piercing to heal.

Material Girl- Your boss had an entirely different situation. The old silver dental fillings were made partly with mercury, which is a toxic substance. There is a theory, that when a person with silver fillings chews, the chewing releases mercury vapors, which may cause harm to some people.

There are many people who feel very strongly about silver fillings, although I don't believe that there have been any large scale scientific studies concerning this.
