I'm not black, you're asking the wrong person.
Black Panther is something that already exists in nature so it's a special case. Putting black in front of something reminds me of the Blacksploitation films of the 70s.
Blackula instead of Dracula. It's like they have a nice little version of their own while the rest of us enjoy the main event.
Superman is just that, he's not called White Superman because there's no need, but if there was a black superman he'd probably be called Black Superman.
I think people want something that they can relate to, something they feel is about them, as opposed to a watered down repositioned character from a different culture entirely.
I'm just trying to give honest advice, not argue.
