when i was over my friend's house we found on the drive way a small round blue pill with some numbers on it.the numbers were 2101 and the square root sign. we showed it to his mom but she got scared thinking its some drugs or something. could it be drugs. if not what exactly is it? PLZ EMERGENCY very very URGENT!!!
10 mg of amitriptyline, an antidepressant
Imprint Code: 2101V
Drug/Strength/Manufacturer: Amitriptyline HCl USP 10mg - Amitriptyline HCl - Astra Zeneca
Description: Blue - Round - 2101 and V - Film Coated Tablet
According to
this, it is not a recognized recreational drug.
Interesting that that website doesn't list it as a recreational drug; its a tricyclic antidepressant, and the website does list several tricyclic antidepressants. As would be the case with any psychoactive drug or compound, amitriptyline (such as brand-name Elavil) certainly is subject to abuse, can result in addiction and withdrawal, may adversely react with other common over-the-counter and prescription drugs, is a controlled substance available by prescription only, and unauthorized possession of it is a drug offense - generally anywhere from a Class A Misdemeanor to a Class 3 Felony, depending on jurisdiction and circumstances. If its appearance wass associated with kids, I'd be real inquisitively concerned.
not the same
that pic has a V sign but the one we found has a square root sign that is similar to the V sign.
The first link I looked at said the V sign is not definitive and is used to identify manufacturer. You probably found a generic form.
That is the weakest dose of available according to one source.
