I recently changed jobs and as a result am now driving to work rather than taking the subway. Now that I am stuck in traffic, what are some things I can do to amuse myself? I welcome all creative thoughts and ideas, but prefer to be in an accident (causing a minor fender bender would be o-k though).
Get an Audio tape, or CD ....and learn a foeign language!!
Bien Sur !!
Ah, I don't want something educational - I want something fun. I mean I am on my way to work or just completed a full day - I want to do something mindless, but entertaining.
Make up new and creative curses for the idiotic drivers around you?
That can lead to daily aggravation, road rage and end up in a shoot-out on I-85 by Labor Day. How about listening to great music. The sing-along kind. Sing at the top of your lungs. And don't forget books now on cd. Not necessarily educational but fiction. And humor.
Every Saturday I visit the local library and get two CDs
(usually one classical, the other jazz/blues) and return
the previous week's.
This week I'm listening to Rimsky-Korsakov and John
Lee Hooker.
A friend of mine does the same, but with audio books.
eoe - I was actually thinking about that books on tape/cd especially since I loved reading on the subway. I will have to check with my local library. And probably more entertaining and less stressful (although it would still be fun) than thinking up more swear words.
I always enjoy the thrilling game of seeing how close I can get to someone's bumper without actually touching....
Or try what I saw someone doing today: driving, applying makeup, and talking on a cell phone.
One of my neighbors once drove down the street with some chicken in one hand and a book in the other. Eek!
i heard a rumor that some girls masturbate while driving thru town...
just a rumor though...
right?
LOL I'd be afraid I'd drive into a telephone pole.
my luck I would get caught between 2 trucks!
I was changing between softball games in the backseat once while my teammate was driving and I found myself in that situation. Those truckers sure got an eyeful that day! LOL
Yeah, I bet, lol. I remember one time, years ago when I was working for my father, who was a general contractor. I was driving one of my fathers trucks on my way to pick up supplies, when I pulled up to a red light. There were 3 lanes at this light and I was in the middle. I glanced down at the car to my left and see this man casually stroking his member. I turned away quickly and then suddenly heard "oh ****"! This is when I knew he spotted me laughing in my truck. I looked back at him and his member was out of site and he looked embarrassed as hell.
Poor guy, lol!
No wonder that truck driver was smiling at me this morning.
