Signs that Generation Z and Millenials Could Save Us All

Post here on what you love about Generation Z and Millenials. They've been the most maligned generation in decades. I don't remember Gen Xers getting this much hate.

You can't blame Millenials for Trump
. And you LITERALLY CANNOT blame Gen Zer's for Trump. 2020 will be their first presidential election. Both generations are far more politically educated and active than any other generation combined.

Somehow I never noticed one generation being worse than another.

That's the correct answer (that others should hold).

We received plenty of hate in our younger days. Now it seems we are the forgotten generation and no one wants to remember Gen X. Could it be because we didn't fall for the foolishness of the younger generation?

I think it's a modernity thing, things have really moved on a pace in the last twenty years. The older generations struggle with it while the young make it their own, signpost the future in their own vernacular meaning some people feel left out.

Trump/Brexit, all this far right horseshit is just them lashing out at progress, and those they are targeting have got nothing to do with their loss of income/housing/work/healthcare/self esteem/whatever.

It's their way of delivering a big "**** You" to future generations.

@izzythepush,
The older generation have bought Trumps be afraid crap. Every time we go to a restaurant that have blacks or Hispanics in it my wife pees her pants. I tell her that they are just like us looking for a meal but she thinks they are all armed. Trump is responsible for this attitude and a good part of the mass shootings. I saw all this coming when the sob first ran for office. And I am very afraid that he is going to be reelected because the us electorate are being brainwashed by the conservative media. Our political stupidity is bringing us down, not communism, although they are happy enough to help.

Got any proof to back that up? Which older generation are you talking about, the old people like those on this site, 70 and older?

Your wife sounds like a prejudice old lady if brown and black skin scares her. How could someone like you marry a racist?

Trump is not responsible for the racist feelings of old people, hey have always been that way. My generation in general doesn't share that view, we likely have the largest percentage of mixed marriages than any generation before us. Gen X rocks!!!

Trump isn't responsible for the mass shootings, no more than Obama was responsible for the deaths of police with his words. The only people responsible for the mass shootings are the mass shooters. P.S. most of the mass shooters have been younger men, not the older generation.

Conservtive media? You mean Foxnews? Unlike the liberal media of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post and the New York Times? They pushed the Russia hoax for 2 years and you want to talk about brainwashing?

You are correct, it isn't communism, it's Socialism. The DNC has fooled a good chunk of the voting public into thinking they don't have to work for anything and that rich people will pay for it all. They want a life of leisure but don't want to put in the hard work to actually earn a good life.

Did you see the video from the DSA, Democratic Socialist of America, from last weekend, it was their 2019 National Convention? It was a joke, it looked like a bad SNL skit complete with some dude whining about people whispering loudly...

These are the people you have our nations future set on? We are doomed.

I just realized that I don't know many millennials but I spend a LOT of time around Gen Z and I like almost everything about them. They remind me a lot of what my generation was at that age even though they seem to have much more anxiety (understandable). I'm ready for them to take over everything.

As an aside, I'm so glad that people here are registered to vote automatically when they get a driver's license and that we get to vote by mail on paper ballots without having to lift a finger. Everywhere should vote like Oregon.

@boomerang,
Where I live almost everyone over the age of thirty voted for Trump because they dident want a crook in office. And like baldy and his band of misfits refuse to admit they elected a much bigger crook to the presidency. Not only is he a crook but is a rabid racist leading his band of racists to Walmart and any other place where they can kill people. And the conservatives still back him to conserve their hold on government just like good Christians.

@RABEL222,
You don't have to tell me what a monster he is. I still have a hard time believing that man is the president of this country.

I only know three people who admit they voted for Trump. Two still support him and it breaks my heart. One is a neighbor of mine who went to the Naval Academy with John McCain. He voted for Trump, with reservations, and has regretted his decision ever since.

One thing I love about Gen Z is how their physical location doesn't determine their activist location. I work at a college and I couldn't believe how many kids were working for their local and state elections from a distance. This "it doesn't matter where you are" mindset is going to be a real game changer!

It could be because the ubiquity and democratic nature (accessibility wise) of the internet that it's easier to dogpile on the Millenials and Gen Zers whereas criticism of Gen Xers and earlier was only passed around via word of mouth and to far lesser degree print media aimed at the older (previous generations).

I think I have plainly stated what I want to say that anyone with a third grade education could understand. Trying to get me kicked off the site by trying to get me to say i want you dead? Like Trump you have an inflated since of worth. I don't care if your alive or dead.

You didn't say anything of substance and tried to blame your wife's fears of minorities on Trump and the media...

You claimed me and others like me being alive is causing your wife to proclaim prejudice against minorities. So us being dead would make her stop being prejudice?

Spoken like a true "peaceful" person. You want to talk about spreading fear and hate, look to your own poisonous words and rhetoric.

If I didn't know you so well I'd say that you were the one who was brainwashed — by Fox News! There was no "hoax" — Russia actually did try to interfere in our electoral process and it actually did spread misinformation on social media. It's all in Muller's report.

The old bait and switch, I expected better from you Hightor. I'm specifically referring to Russian Collusion with Trump... that was the lie pushed by the media for so long, to the point where after the Mueller report was released and cleared him of working with the Russians, the left keeps pushing the lie.

Of course the Russians tried to interfere with the election, their level of success is the real question. I don't think they were that successful and they targeted both candidates with misinformation and lies.
