New Secular Order
Thanks in advance!
What are you wanting from us, madglee? This is quite unclear to me, at least.
And welcome!
"novus ordo seclorum"
You're welcome.
Smart arse!!!!
What is that in Latin?
Lol!!!
No, no - smart arse is what you say here when someone has been cleverer than you!
It is kind of giving a compliment ruefully - with a teeny sting in the tail.
I KNOW what the new world order is, BTW.
I wanted to know the Latin for smart arse.
Don't you guys say smart ass?
Or mebbe, wise guy????
Actually, I guess it IS a term of endearment - in that you are giving the point to the other person.
Ahh ... I see.

Yes, we do say "smart ass."
Do you pronounce the "r" is "arse."
Oooh - and you're a weisenheimer again - I just scored an own goal - hoist on my own petard - only opened mouth to change feet - I DIDN'T know what the new secular order was at all.
Two down, and running out of air.
Not sure how one would?
It is pronounced like the ah in park.
We are being taken over by your damn asses, though.
Though I was able to have a lot of fun with Setanta's red Irish ass the other day - I discovered there WERE red Irish donkeys!
American asses are spreading.
I kill myself....
Here's a fine Australian ass....
It is a very comely ass indeed - such a sweet face!
English to latin new secular order
Hey guys, yeah sorry was a bit unclear. I wanted new secular order translated into latin.
I know it's on the one dollar bill, but i thought novus ordo seclorum was actually translated to mean "New order of the ages" and was wondering if there was a more precise word for secular. Many sites claim novus ordo seclorum is incorrectly translated to be "new secular order"..is this true?
I've seen it translated to both. See the link I provided earlier.

But I'm not fluent in latin <gasp>.
Secular means usually non-religious.
From a semiological point of view it would be "New political order".
