Hi All,
I have just finished 42 days on the Bruess Cancer Cure Diet and feel great!
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 3 months ago with a PSA of 6.6 and a positive biopsy sample.
I heard about the Bruess diet and decided to try that first instead of as a last resort after traditional methods as most folk do.
After 4 weeks on the diet I had a blood test and to my GP's dismay my PSA count had dropped to 2.5! Also my cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar etc etc were all perfect! My doctor would not believe I had accomplished this with diet alone.
I have only finished the diet 2 days ago and am awaiting the results of my blood test I had done on completion. I am also visiting a specialist in 2 days time to have a thorough exam to see if he can detect any cancer left.
I feel terrific and positive about the cancer being defeated with this natural method.
I lost 10.6 kilos (23.5lbs) in total over the 6 weeks and worked every day with no ill effects at all.
I will post the final results as they come to hand.
good health

Excellent, Merv! I hope your final results indicate you've whipped this bad boy.

My father has prostate cancer. Was diagnosed last year. Had done some looking into the Bruess Diet, but he's not one to change his diet.

Look forward to hearing your update.

Re: I finished :-) !!!
Ok I have just returned from my specialist appointment with the news that my PSA count actually rose by one point in the last 2 weeks of the Bruess Diet!
I asked the specialist why it had gone down then up and he replied that as I was on a vegetarian diet (The Bruess Cancer Cure) that the female oestrogen present in phyto-oestrogen of plant matter were the cause of it going down and my body had now adjusted to the extra oestrogen and had compensated for it.
After the diet which I finished over a week ago now I have put on some weight and am eating normally. Two days after the finish I had a bad case of diarrohea and lost 2 kilos!
He believes my prostate cancer is still alive and has ordered me to have an ultrasound in 3 weeks time. I live 500 miles from the nearest hospital!
More to come.

Merv - My dad's PSA went from 50's (!!!) down to 2.8 after 3 estrogen shots over the course of 9 months.

Was wondering if you had tried the shots. If so, was wondering if the same phenomenon was happening with you re: lighter sleeper, stopped snoring, more emotional and needing more rest. My Mom had mentioned the snoring because it had been really bad before.

Or, have you noticed any such changes with the diet if you haven't had the shots.

My interest lies in whether anything that lowers the PSA is doing something for the cancer, or just hiding one of the signs.

Update
Hi all,
I have just returned from a 6 day stay in hospital with an acute case of gastroenteritis :-(
I think it was because my system was so clean after the detox, I ate something I should of left for a bit longer namely vegetarian pasta, I thought it was harmless enough but my system didn't cope with it at all.
I still have to wait about 3 weeks before I can get in to see a specialist in a big city (600 miles away - one of the hazards of living in the outback)
He is going to do an ultrasound to really see what is happening down there, until then I am eating organic vegetables and taking lots of supplements.
I have heard of the hormone (oestrogen) shots and have spoken to people who have had success with them but they all say it is like being chemically neutered! I am only 50 and still have an active sex life so am way more inclined towards something that would preserve that :-)
More news as it come to hand.
ps: I had no symptoms at all with this, no sleepless nights etc

Bruess Cancer Cure
Hi,

We live in New Zealand and have been fortunate to have heard about the Bruess Cancer Cure. My Dad, 78, was diagnosed with liver cancer and is now in the 5th week of the fast. He's lost alot of weight but feeling terrific. His heart, blood pressure, strength. enthusiasm is great and, apart from his weight loss, his doctor is pleased with him. The only problem is that he had a blood test in the 4th week of his fast and the results are that his PSA has not changed. When will we see a difference and should we expect to see something by now?

Hi,
I found my PSA had dropped slightly by the 4th week but after the full 6 weeks it had dropped substantially.
You have to follow instructions carefully after coming of the Bruess diet as I found out. Don't try to eat normal solid foods for some time after as I ended up with a blocked bowel that got infected and needed hospitalisation due to my eating something pretty innnocuous I thought!
After the diet finished I am now taking several (mainly herbal) supplements to keep the prostate cancer at bay.
I have an appointment with an oncologist in 4 weeks time to see just how successful the diet was.

Thanks for your reply. Dad finishes his fast on Sunday and will begin to gain some normality on Monday. Your reported experience is very interesting but obviously was of great stress to yourself. We will take what you've said seriously and we thank you for your comments.
Without putting too finer point on it, Dad has noticed considerable change in his bowel motions and has felt a noticeable change in himself. He too has contacted his oncologist who is arranging a scan to determine how successful the diet has been. We have every confidence in it but are relieved the 42 days is coming to an end. Dad is drinking Essiac Tonic now and has also a couple of immune building herbal tonics to carry on with.
We too look forward to normality and have booked a holiday in Queensland. Hoping to find a few days accommodation on an outback farm. Looking forward to hearing positive news from you.
All the best.

update
Sorry for the looong delay between posts but all is well in this part of the world (Oz) my PSA levels have remained consistently low at 1.5 and everything is functioning normally in that department :-)
I was scheduled to have brachy therapy but cancelled that much to the surgeons dismay! I told him there was no point in having an operation for a condition I no longer have!
I am going to visit a specialist in about a months time to have another biopsy done (just to be on the safe side) but I have no fears or worries about that :-)
I am still taking epilobium capsules 1,000mg per day down from 4,000mg daily earlier and am also watching my diet and checking my bodies ph levels weekly to make sure I stay alkaline.
I take a cocktail of vitamins and herbs daily, the most important being the epilobium, a massive dose of Vit C, Red Clover, Calcium, Pau D'arco, Promaxim and Bovine Trachael cartilidge in liquid form.
I have totally taken red meat out of my diet and now consume more fish and organic chicken when it can be found. A varied assortment of vegetables and fruits along with salad items is also par for the course now. Another thing I am doing is using flouride free toothpaste, filtered water and eating spelt bread and taking several hemp products, the main ones being hemp seed oil 10ml twice a day and hemp flour bread which is an absolute treat! I bake it myself :-)
I'll let you know how the next biopsy goes after I have had it.
ps The doctor who originally diagnosed me with prostate cancer is very interested in my (Rudolph Bruess's) method of self cure and wants to do a case study of me - there is hope for us (alternatives) yet :-)

Bruess
So pleased for you - wondered how you were getting on.
My dad didn't appear to have any success from the "Bruess Juice" He has Liver/Pancreatic cancer. It was disappointing when we saw that the cancer had grown. But......this hasn't put him off and he is drinking the juice of boil paw paw leaves 3 times a day and eating Apricot kernel which have Cyanide in them and are reputed to drag the cancer out as they pass through. Dad is o.k. but does have a bit of discomfort from time to time just under his right ribs. You people are to be admired for your discipline and perserverance - good on you. Keep in touch and all the best.

So sorry to hear your dad hasn't had any success with the diet.
I am in contact with another person who is currently on the diet so far he is making good progress after 3 weeks.
I guess it doesn't work for everyone but it is still worth a try, after all, what is the alternative!
Best wishes for finding a suitable treatment for your dad.
