In 1960s when I first started eating yogurt, it was very sour. I really liked it , and there wasn't a lot of sugar it it. Does anyone know what strands Danone used back then? I would like to make some homemade yogurt and use it in smoothies and with fresh fruit

@Nmn,
All the "natural yogurts" are without sugar.
But they do taste differently to those we've got in the 60's - some fruit at the bottom of the glass, yogurt above.

Since yogurt is a "zuur melkproduct", we get (from FrieslandCampina) a Dutch joghurt here in the supermarkets, labelled "wie früher".
(The older I get, the more a prefer vla, just saying.)
