Hi, folks. I have a serious problem. My 'puter is very ill. For several days last week it wasn't letting me into any forum at all. I could get online and read my e-mail but the second I tried to get to A2K (or anywhere else, for that matter) popups started to fly at me at a dizzing pace and then the whole thing would freeze up and I'd have to reboot manually even just to get offline. I ran a Norton scan and was informed (after more than hour of scanning) that there is a virus, something called ALWAYUP, and that Norton was unsuccessful in getting rid of it. The program was successful, however, in eliminating some of the worst problems I was having. I can now access A2K and participate. However ...I've discovered I can't click on any links, including the Care2 link on this thread. I do and all hell breaks loose again. So I ain't been clicking. Also, I will be away for the next week, in Washington, DC. Returning home June 10. Would someone -- ehBeth, Dannon, anyone -- be willing to click for me for a spell?

Andrew - did you also download and run (1) and (2) below >

1. For "Spybot":
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/news/

2. For "Ad-Aware"

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

(download "personal" version)

3. For Zone Alarm:

http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp

>> if not do so now, delete everything they advise, then restart your computer. If problem gone, download and install (3) to avoid this problem in future. If problem persists pls post here.

Merry, another good idea is opening Norton Anti-Virus program, and at the top of the window, click "Live Update". Symantic will install all the current anti-virus protections to your computer.

Good luck!

Hope your 'puter is better MA. Just catching up reading here.
Danon - here's one for you:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtiss_P-40
I really loved that one. There was a book right after the was about the "Flying Tigers' which started:
"Army dubbed me YP40, Kittywalk and Warhawk,too...."
I can't remember who wrote it.

Mornin wayfarer,
Thanks for the link. I always loved the look of the P-40 too. Those old WWII planes just "looked" fast even sitting on the ground.
