Found the above statement in The Guardian.
Maybe someone wanted their salad vigorously tossed.
I believe that grenade throwing is an old custom in that part of the world. I think they were just trying to make the president feel welcome.
I must have missed the grenade news, but on the face of it, the quote is pretty strange.
Not to worry. Nobody was ever in any danger. So say the Georgian authorities and they wouldn't lie, would they? I mean, it was just a little grenade.
