Does Latin "pango" (fasten) relate to "pax" (peace).

They both have something like connection, joining meaning.

When someone make peace, they attach their hands (handshake)

pango: from Proto-Indo-European *peh₂ǵ-
pax: from Proto-Indo-European*peh₂ḱ-
