Do the English word knight have somehow relation with the other English word knee giving the fact that the knight during the ceremony of accolade had to kneel his knees in front of a monarch?

Do the German word Knie have somehow relation with the other German word Knecht (servant) giving the fact that only the servants had to knien his both knees in front of a Herr.
