2-yesterday was the toughest day of practice in the entire season up to this point.
3-yesterday after class i went back to my room for a lomg study session.
4-here are two members of the firm's frist management team.
5-that dilapidated building on second street burned to the ground.
6-after a great start Jim's grades began a decline around mid-term.
7-her best season as a hitter was 1998.
8-he's the last person in that first group of applicants.
9-on the front page of yesterday's paper were two very informative articles.
10-each of thsoe two calculators produced a different answer to that problem?

1 - heroes get
2 - yesterday was
3 - I went
(Tell me I am not doing your homework!)
4 - members are
5 - building burned
6 - grades began
7 - season was
8 - he is
9 - articles were
10 - each produced

I am not 100% certain of some, so take your chances. Let me know how I did....

Of course you just did his/her homework, bermbits. What other purpose would an obvious question like that serve?

subject and predicate 2
every member(sub)of the baseball team reports(pred) for weight training in the gym at 7:00 am
2-from the last row of the bleachers(s) rose(p) a great, loud cheer for jenkins home run.
3-the deep pounding sounds of the drum shook(p) the rafters(s) in that small room.
4-at the first sound of thunder, all the golfers(sub)left(p) the course as quickly as possible.
5-under that pile of dirty clothes, i(S) found(p) my lost library book.
6-durning her lunch hour my boss(s) goes(p) to the gym for a workout.
7-none(s)of the proofreaders found(p) the errors in this mornings paper.
8-durning my first night as an usher at the stadium, two people got in a terrible agrument about the location of their seats.
9-they're(s)certainly(p) the best horses in the entire racing stable.
10-there goes my little sister with her two new friends.
11-the low price(s)of that set of golf clubs surprised(p) my father.
12-several(s) of the better students in the class finished(p) the test ahead of time.

#2 is wrong. The subject is cheer, not bleachers. (It was the cheer that rose(p), see?)
#3 is wrong. What shook (p) the rafters? The sounds, not the rafters. The rafters is a direct object, not the subj.
#8 -- People(s) got(p)
#9 -- Trick question. The predicate is contained within the subject. They(s) [are](p). Certainly is an adverb. It can never be either subject or predicate.
#10 sister(s) goes(p)

The other answers are ok. This is so easy I don't know why I do it. Now I have to hang my head in shame along with bermbits. <sigh>

#2 - who or what rose?
#3 - who or what shool?
#8 - who or what got?
#9 - look for both in one word
#10 - If you say "My little sister goes there..." that may help

Others look good.

Looks like you have a couple of people helping here. I am okay with basic grammar and fragments... bring 'em on (why do I shudder when I say that?)
