I was stretching my leg, putting it on the stairs while my other leg held me standing up. I'm not flexible and don't really stretched often. I noticed that the leg holding me up started shaking, and then when I put the other leg down, it was shaking too. You can't really see it shaking, but I can feel it. I'm in my late teen years and I'm wondering why this is happening. BTW, I don't work out often, so this might be a really stupid question.

Thank you.

Not working out could matter--also, you need to make sure you get enough potassium in your diet. Potassium is crucial to the smooth functioning of your muscles.

Eat more bananas . . .

Sounds like you need more exercise to work your muscles.

Muscle fatigue. Hold any position for a little while with a tiny, little bit of strain, and the muscle just starts to run out of energy. Vibrating and shaking is the first sign that it's struggling to hold on.

In my teens I used to bicycle 100-200 miles in a day.
Even in shape, after about 50 miles my ankles would start hopping up and
down, involuntarily twitching in a funny sort of bouncy, rhythmic way.
I thought it was cool. "Hey look, I'm a spaz!"

Probably has to do with low glucose or lactose buildup or ATP (adenosine triphosphate) going ga-ga.

I wouldn't worry about it. Play with it. Try this and that and see what happens.
It's your body, the only one you'll get, and you gotta live with it for awhile
so make yourself at home.
If you sit for a couple minutes, or chug water for 30 minutes, does it go away?
Tight jeans ... pinching a nerve?

I would start worrying (just a little) if there was persistent tingling, persistent numbness,
one single muscle cramping all by itself (why?), or
the sense that my knee is about to flop out to the side where it's not supposed to.

Yoga's pretty cool too ... It doesn't look like much but the muscles get pretty ripped, and still stetched out to be flexible, agile and useful.

Thanks. I guess I was overreacting.

Ray- You may be overreacting, but "keep an eye" on it. If you exercise, and the problem continues, or worsens, you might want to look into it.
