walking daily

Hi really looking for advice!! I have been walking for an hour or over daily for around 2 years now. At first this was great and weight loss was a good bit. Now I feel there is no benefit as my body is that uses to it, although I do still enjoy the walk, but weight is back on. Would be really keen to loose weight again and do like walking don't really know if I can devote much more time than an hour a day either to walk further, or would walking at faster pace help??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated xxx

Walking is great for you! It helps you heart. It reduces stress. It is good for your joints and bones. It lowers your risk of lower back pain. It will help you live a longer healthier life.

Walking it is only so good at weight loss. An average person walking an hour burns less than 200 calories... this is the amount of calories in a candy bar. Of course, walking faster or for more time will burn more calories. But unless you are running up hills, it only does so much.

As the saying goes, you lose weight in the kitchen, not in the gym.

If your goal is weight loss, reducing the number of calories you eat is far more effective than exercise. Of course, you should do both... and given the numerous other advantages to exercise to give you a longer, healthier life, you should certainly keep exercising.
