I've been on birth control for over a year. I changed to Estrostep four months ago. Last month, my period was a couple of days late and very light. This month it hasn't even showed! Took one pregnancy test, but it was negative. What should I do next? Call doctor, or wait another month?
Anytime you are taking a new prescription and have questions you should call your doctor.
However, many contraceptives will stop your periods or make them much lighter. Did you read all of the enclosures that came with your prescription, including the list of side effects?
Have you been diligent in taking each pill every day?
I read all of the possible side effects of this pill. Also, I took my pill regularly, if not at the exact time, within the hour. I plan on taking another test when I get up in the morning and then I will call my doctor no matter what the results. I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them. Thanks for your reply.
This has happened to me several times. My doctor told me it is normal but I still worry every month. My periods are so light that I don't really bleed at all. They've been like that for a year now. Every time I've done a test it's been negative. I am looking into switching to a different pill because infertility runs in my family and this makes me nervous. Hope this helps.
Thanks again for the posts! I took another test- negative. I called my doctor and she assured me that it was normal. But it does still freak me out.
