What kind of weirdness is that? Getting upset over being evicted and not having any problems with the husband, except being asked to leave?

Yes. Definitely a form of modern poetry.

I wonder how many people who read sensational newspapers
realize that they are actually captivated by lyrical poetry,
subliminally rented and sold by the sing-song tragedy and creativity
of our idle killing time.

A haiku for fifty cents
is worth all our demons
