I have a really good friend that I have a crush on and I've seen him in the changing room (in the gym) and he has a nice bulge. I don't know if he's gay but he's never had a girlfriend and doesn't talk to any girls. Although he doesn't seem the type of person to be gay. How should I find out if he's gay or not and if he is how can we get together.

That makes it more awkward, doesn't it. I think I would start with that... letting him know that you are gay before telling him you are attracted. That way you can gauge.
It is often difficult turning a friendship into a romantic partner under any circumstance.
