I'm also berber from algeria. I live in France since I was born and I'am suppose to come to australia in october 2007 for a year with a working holyday visa. I don't know why but I've always loved australia and what I would love more is to speak berber with someone who lives in australia. (native or no)I know it can seem weird but anyway I'm weird!
I don't know if there are native australian speaker who speak berber in AUstralia. I don't think but anyway don't hesitate to reply if you are a berber in australia.

It's very nice of you to answer my post. I knew it would be difficult to find berber in australia because it's very far from algeria but anyway. I'm trying.

Anyway, as you don't know anything about berber, I'll explain. Berber are the native people of north africa. We don't speak arabic but berber wich is a dialect. It is only spoken and not written because arabic is now the main language in north africa. in Algeria, berber are also called kabyl and lots of them have blue and green eyes but it is not my case. Anyway, we are always revendicating our cultur because as indians in america or indigenous in Australia, we are proud of who we are and we are trying to keep our traditions and cultur alive.
