Unfortunately child molestors are not stupid and they know where to find the children. They are professional manipulators and very good at getting adults and children to trust them. It's no wonder they keep turning up dressed as priests and boy scout leaders, what better way to get what they want.

He may or may not have ever molested a child, but one would be very suspicious of the leader of the Boy Scouts buying child pornography. At the least, it would indicate a prediliction for pedophilia, even if it was only on the level of fantasy. IMO, anyone who is fascinated by child porn, should not be working at something even remotely involved with kids.

I dunno. Thinking of some of the spam I don't open. I suppose he is accused of downloading material? The incident could be an indicator of a long creepy history, or a misuse of computer by another person.

I do see that the boys (or girls as the case may be) who are helped/taught by some jobs/ministries/etc. can attract people so inclined to the jobs/ministries or increase 'temptation' to some already in place. No, not that I mean it's the boy's fault, or that all helpers are creeps. Just that bees look for honey.

I was just wondering why anyone would be surprised to find that someone in his position might have this problem. I think of it as "hiding in plain sight". And yes, I should have used the term "pedophil" and not "child molester".

.. I would still say this:
ANy and ALL possible contact with children, or kiddie porn should COMPLETELY remove his possibility of running a boy/girl scout group until said ALLEGATION was proved wrong. ( like that is going to happen)

Heard he pled guilty as I was driving to pick up stuff at Staples today. So the doubt benefit is over. This is very sad and angering.
