Lucky you. I'm up early 'cause I'm getting ready to go to work. Try to get there early so I can leave early. Smile

Morning Joan Lee, good to see you.

Merry & teeny, the EARLY risers....... A belated good morning to you.

Three days to go before wayfarer leaves. I'm reading more and more about Malta. That is a place that is now on our hope list to visit. Incredible history found there.
http://www.jimdiamondmd.com/MaltaTemples.htm
At the top left of the site page is a listing of included pages. The URL is on the Temple page. About half to 60% down is the Lady. The other page with many great pictures of the island is at Malta Casa K. Looks like a really nice place to visit.

All clk'd here too, MA

Thanks,Aa. I've printed it out to take with me. The whole Elderhosel trip is planned by OTS, the Old Temple Society. I had not thought of Elderhostel and early female Goddess in one breath, but why not!

Danon- if you want Maltese history, the most delightful way to get it is "The Jukebox Queen of Malta" and as a pilot, you will have a special feel for the small plane thread which runs through the story. During the period of time of the story, there were at least three air raids a day on Malta and more tonage dropped in those three months than in the entire blitz of England. The small but crazy RAF and American pilots spent half their time in the air and the other half in the Malta bars. A MUST read.

Very Happy

wayfarer, be sure to bring lots of pix !!! I know you will, you're such a good photographer.

A good way to carry ton's of photos using a digital camera is to get a flash drive - sometimes called a thumb drive. They are available in various sizes. Mine is 1GB - TON's of room for millions of photos. grin Here is a pic of it - - -

When your photo card is full - just go to the nearest cyber cafe and down load your pix to a computer. Then down load the pix from the computer to your flash drive using the USB port. Easy. This way you have unlimited - almost - storage for gazillions of photos without buying those expensive photo cards for your camera. And it's small, lightweight and easily portable.

Probably by next year the camera will have the capability to down load directly into the flash drive. But, that's next year. So far now we have to use a computer as a middle program.

Looks great, Danon. My problem right now is that I seem to have eliminated my whole Canon Zoombrower and all my photos. My computer gugu just left for Florida, so I'll have to wait. That won't stop me from taking my digital camera with me. Busy packing.

Great wayfarer, Looking forward to seeing your pix of the island.

ehBeth, Yes, we are getting close to 42 ACRES. That's really exciting. My first year with the team was '02. We were at 7.9 acres on 7 Oct, 2002 when I started keeping records. Based on our team clicking record over the past two years, AKTeam will have clicked for ONE HUNDRED acres on 4 July, 2008. Now that's something to anticipate. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

A good story from an eviornmentally ravaged land...

http://a.abcnews.com/images/GMA/abc_gma_lava_050406_t.jpg

"He was all flea-bitten and just really covered in scabs and filthy dirty," Kopelman, a U.S. Marine reservist, added. "So some of the Marines there found him and cleaned him up. They were using kerosene to get the fleas off him and bathe him in that."

The Marines named him Lava and immediately hid the pup, since pets are strictly forbidden under military law. But the men figured it was worth the risk of a court-martial."
