Had all necessary paperwork drawn up 16 years ago when I lost my husband (no kids). Has been reviewed twice since then with no changes made.

Will only take a few moments of your time and well worth the effort.

Thanks. I can't even muster the motivation and energy it takes to make a dentist appointment, but I appreciate the link and I will at least give it a look.

Back when my parents composed their documents they made copies for us kids. I told them to hold on to mine until I was more settled. I got the copy this weekend and will try to use it to make up my own. In MA if you have surgery you need a document about heroic measures and such - if you don't have one, they make you fill one out pre-op.
