Help with English into Latin Translation

I'm writing a story and there's a character who's a Latin professor who gets in a situation where she falls to her knees and makes a heartending plea to the Goddess Venus. I want her to say something like, "Help me in my hour of need!" Or "Give me strength in my hour of need!" Whichever sounds better.

"Give me strenght" could be translated as "fortifica me" witch sounds also quite as a prayer... I leave you the choice between

Fortifica me in inopiae hora!
(give strenght to me in time of need)

and

Fortifica me egentem!
(Give strenght to me -I'm in need-)

The second one sounds somewhat more elegant in latin, but they are both correct.
