Hi
I need help in the translation of a simple phrase. I have had three totally different translations handed to me and was wanting a consensus on which is right!
the english is:
One World
One Chance
One Saviour
The first translation is :
Unus Universum
Unus Fortissimus
Unus Redemptor
The second reads as:
COSMUS CASUS CHRISTUS
The third is:
Unus mundus
Una occasio
Unus Salvator
The emphasis behind the words where:
We have only one world
We have only one chance at this life
We have only savior in all of this

The third translation seems to me to be the most accurate, but one question:
With world, are you referring to the universe or the earth?
One universe would be: unus mundus
One earth would be: unus orbis terrarum
The other thing, my dictionary tells me that one saviour is 'unus liberator' (perhaps a larger dictionary might have salvator??)
Personally, I would translate the whole thing as:
unus orbis terrarum
una occasio
unus liberator
Well, liberator is from liberare, "to free" not "to save". I think "savior" would probably be "servator" ("servare" means "to save").
"Fortissimus" is an adjective meaning "bravest". Definitely not.
And... "mundus" is world; "universum" is not a noun, it's an adjective, so that's definitely not correct. "Orbis terrarum" just refers to the globe, or specifically to the earth.
For what you mean, I would say:
unus mundus
una occasio
unus servator
