I have no idea what language lux wanted, but my translation was offensively close to russian.

In Latin, it would be

Lux aeterna mea per tenebras lucet.

German would be, "Mein ewigen Licht scheint durch den Unlicht." I doubt Unlicht is actually correct there, but forgive me. It's 11 p.m. here.

That (the original phrase) would be something like

"moy vyechnij svyet sweshchayet skvoz temnotui"

Probably not perfect but a Russian would understand it.
