Reading the first few pages of this thread are enlightening. 2005 seems a really really long time ago given what many of us have been through with the changes in the economy.

@Rickoshay75,
What I agree with is our country needs another stim program that will repair, maintain, and build our infrastructure - including the support for our schools/education - instead of wars and gifts of $$$ to other countries, subsidies to oil companies and farmers, and the money we spend on defense.

Romney / Ryan in the White House = a stimulus package that works

The Obama stimulus program worked, which is why the Great Recession did not become the Great Depression. The nonpartisan budget analysts who have examined the few sketchy details which are all Romney/Ryan have provided of their economic plans show continued losses for all but the very rich and continued huge deficits. Not much of a stimulus there. Romney/Ryan=Tanked Economy v. 2.0.

@MontereyJack,
Wrong.

The Obama stimulus programs have not worked.

Obamanomics has done nothing to help the US economy.

A second term for Obama will lead to another great depression.

@H2O MAN,
Would you please share the evidence of these claims with us?

He doesn't have any evidence. He makes up everything he says. Always has.

@reasoning logic,
Has that idiot ever posted an intelligent comment on this site? I'm guessing a big no!

He sounds like some barefooted hillbilly typing with one finger.

@MontereyJack,

I have looked, and there isn't a shred of evidence showing any of what Obama has tried is working.

Obama and his supporters make up false evidence and fake numbers, but they can't hide the truth.

The truth: Obama is an epic failure.

OK then show us the evidence that it is not working.

What is the evidence of the truth that you are claiming?

What I want to know is, why do you all assume that the election is a two-pony race?

Did you hear that the Greens presidential candidate was arrested and incarcerated for trying to attend the second presidential "debate"?

Perhaps she rejected the script offered to her?

There's a real debate happening shortly, with all of the candidates invited. Stranglely ( or maybe not) only two candidates have refused to attend. That would be tweedle-dee, and tweedle-dumb.

The fourth presidential debate will actually address the real problems of the nation, rather than those of empire and control.

@Rockhead,
Um, we have a Green Party? How nice. I wish them well, and what do you think of their chances - whoever they are?

Jees, what small vision the Green Party has. Just three candidates at the debates? How petty. Actually in Massachusetts we have more than twenty state-recognized political parties, including:

Democrats
Republicans
Green-Rainbow Party
America First Party
American Independent Party
American Term Limits
Conservative Party
Constitution Party
Green Party USA
Interdependent 3rd Party
Libertarian
Massachusetts Independent Party
Natural Law Party
New Alliance Party
New World Council
Pirate
Pizza Party
Prohibition Party
Rainbow Coalition
Reform Party
Socialist
Timesizing Not Downsizing
Veterans Party America
We The People
Working Families
World Citizens Party

Andlast time I looked, Cambridge had at least one registered voter in 19 of them, if I remember correctly. Your state, whatever it is, probably has around the same number. Hey, who knows maybe the Third Party Interdependents would win the election, if they actually had a candidate. Why not invite them all to the debates? Why should the Greens be special?

@MontereyJack,
That's stunning. Can we have The Party of Roger? I can imagine how many members I would have, but what the heck.

I wouldn't have to move to Massachusetts, would I?

They've got you fooled, Rockhead?

Like it or not, there's going to be a change in the way faux democracy works in the former United States of America.
