Do you think he was meaning what a job was? I would think that he meant job numbers but I admit that I am a layman at this, so surely I may be wrong.

No you are misusing their numbers.
It was a decrease of 2.8% in government jobs. That doesn't change the overall unemployment rate by 2.8%.

Parados, It's not I who misused those numbers. They were taken directly from the link I provided.

I did not change any wording from that link. This is a direct copy and paste from the link I provided.

That is an evasion of the question. If somebody has a job because he is counted as having a job your definition is both tautological and unscientific. By your defination you could increase employment by making women have their hair done twice a week instead of once.

Your knowledge of economics is non-existent. Madoff had a job. He didn't figure in the unemployment list.
