I caught part of:
Chernobyl Heart yesterday - very shocking and moving - the link has more info on the this disaster.
Quote:The Academy-Award winning film Chernobyl Heart shockingly and movingly depicts the continuing effects of radiation on the children of Belarus, the country most effected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of 1986. The film was inspired by and shows the work of Chernobyl Children's Project International
Watched this last week. Very, very depressing. Especially the statement, "The next Chernobyl will be Chernobyl again." 97% of the radioactive material remains under a big rotting concrete cover. That's reassuring...
...some birth defects I've never even heard of in that place...
Well, look who came slinking back. Hi, PD
Yes, welcome back, patiodog. You missed a remarkable winter in these parts. Little rain here, no snow in the mountains. We enjoyed it, but now we're doomed....
Thanks for dropping in great to see you guys! here is the HBO schedule
link to hbo
have the show on dvd now also a show called NuclearEd (edu) - that's really a great documentary also.
