A schoolboy was woken from a coma when he heard a track by his favourite rock band, reports Punkbands. Music fan Corey George was unconscious for two weeks on a life support machine after being knocked down by a car on his ninth birthday. Then his mother Tina played him a CD by his favourite punk-pop band, Green Day.
Less than an hour after hearing the album, American Idiot, he had opened his eyes and was able to move his fingers and toes. Four days later Corey, from the village of Aberaman in Aberdare, south Wales, was well enough to be moved out of intensive care and into a high-dependency unit.

*The healing power of music, baby...*
Eh, I like the idea, but "within an hour" is a bit vague.
Sure it wasn't from the birds chirping outside the window, or the nurses talking in the hall, or....that's not much of a correlation, ya think?
Consider the opposite, music putting you into a coma..
Green Day Rocks, but I prefer their previous albums to "Am idiot".
I remember I've heard similiar stories before, I think all the coma patients' families and Docs should try this method at least for a while(if not longer), that is, play their favorite albums, bring the idols(if the idol is still alive or not in court or prison, that is)to talk to them, TV shows' host, president, politicians, ETs, Aliens.............anything that has any possibility to help the patients wake up they should try their best to do it.
I remember last time I heard similiar story was a girl in Germany waking up after hearing "wacky" Jackson's album.........
