I watched the Contender last night. I am not a boxing fan, however, it came on after the Apprentice and a local was on it so I started to watch it. Surprisingly the show was not as bad as I thought until the fight. Both boxers in the match had young children. The children were at the boxing match! Some of these kids were pre-school age. One little girl had a look of horror on her face when her daddy was getting hit pretty hard. I cannot believe that anyone would allow such a young child view a boxing match much less one where his or her daddy is fighting. Or am I wrong?
I think it is extremely traumatic for young kids to watch a fist fight between two people -- especially if one of them is someone they love. I would never allow my small children to watch something like that, not even on tv, and most especially not if it involved someone they love.
I freaked out when I saw my mom get her hair cut for the first time. I thought the lady was hurting her!!
