Does this mean, frontispiece, like the frontispiece of a book?

Thanks very much!

Well, definately not that.
I would translate ''Lebenswelt'' literally with "lifeworld", it means 'surroundings / environment' or 'bio-sphere', even 'community'.

It depends completely on the context > the Habermas' expression, e.g. isn't really possible to be translated at all.

Oh, and welcome to A2K!

(Frontispiece would be 'Titelbild', 'Vorderseite', 'Frontispiz', 'Titelkupfer'.)

I couldn't stay at the computer, Francis: I had to watch your president and my chancellor on various local, regional and national tv-channels: big event at our local airport, when they arrived and flew of (as well as in the small town, where they met and friends of us live close by).

Habermas...Lebenswelt
Thanks, I think I'm going to really like A2K.

I looked up Habermas, and I see that he's a philosopher. Could you or someone give me a general explanation of his Lebenswelt concept, or refer me to some reference source? I only need a general idea...

Thanks very much!

Best would be to google the terms - you'll get a number of pages, dispending on your knowledge about philosophy in general, you can make your choice(s).

(The Francfort school might be a good starting point  )
