Some men want to have casual sex with women, but don't want the woman to get pregnant.

@maxdancona,
I have never heard of someone getting pregnant from a flaccid penis, have you?

I believe it is medically possible, all you need is sperm. I have never tried it personally. If your suggestion is correct, that would mean that erectile dysfunction pills would be the opposite of birth control pills.

What is your point?

@maporsche,
Well, actually that could happen.

@maxdancona,
Well, I guess my point is that not having access to ED medication could be construed as a form of birth control.

Take away contraception from women, take away ED medication well.

Taking the ED pill is not a form of contraception, but eliminating the ED pill from being prescribed certainly could be, which is what the OP proposed doing.

Sure, but not very likely.

@maporsche,
(Damn... I got pulled into this troll thread).

There are women who want to have sex with a man, and have no interest in getting pregnant. I know this from personal experience. I also know that these women generally want said man to have a full erection.

This seems obvious, but I feel it needs to be said clearly.

I don't think anyone is taking the opposite side in your argument with yourself Max.

We all agree then! Great. (I find it funny that you said that when you are the person who keeps responding to my posts).

Well no. Your argument with yourself has nothing to do with what is being discussed. Maybe start over with the 3 points/questions in the OP.

1. Some men want to have casual sex with women, but don't want the woman to get pregnant.

2. I wonder how men would feel if Erectile Dysfunction pills were banned and was no longer available. One stipulation is the banning were to be passed into law by a legislative body made up of mostly women.

3. I wonder how men would feel if the Vasectomy surgical procedure were to be banned and no longer available. One stipulation is the banning were to be passed into law by a legislative body made up of mostly women.

@maxdancona,
Don't know why that is funny.

I'm not arguing the point you keep making, I'm talking about something else entirely (the subject of the thread).

I am glad I cleared that up. You're welcome

@maporsche,
I agree., but tell that to someone it happens to.

It falls into the catagory of “but he didn’t put it in me” sub catagory “but it wasn’t hard”

@maporsche,
This is a troll thread MaPorsche. I think you understand that.

You are getting bent out of shape because you don't like my response to your point about getting pregnant with a "flaccid penis". Get over yourself.

Would you like a serious thread about flaccid penises? We could start one?

What did I say that makes it sound like I'm "bent out of shape"?

You're not very good at answering direct questions (or staying on topic) despite what you think.

Very hard to talk with online.

I'd like you to take a stab at answering the 3 questions on this thread.

@maporsche,
If you don't like what I have to say... hit the ignore button. If you keep responding to my posts, it just encourages me. You do make me chuckle.

I honestly don't know what your point is? If you make it clearly I will respond... but you have to dumb it down for me. Right now it just feels like you are trying to roll around in the mud with me.

I just looked. I don't see the "3 questions". Why don't you list them here and I will answer them for you (with the understanding that this is a troll thread).

I guess I'll try again. Maybe not all of my posts show up on your screen. I asked you to take a stab at these three comments (which are also in the OP - this means original post).

@maporsche,
Maybe we have a different understanding of what the word "question" means? Those are three points, and I already answered them.

1. This is a political stunt (which I said clearly).

2. This is ridiculous because ED drugs aren't birth control. (which I stated clearly)

3. This is ridiculous because ED drugs help heterosexual couples have sex, and one half of the people in heterosexual couples are women. Women in heterosexual couples benefit when their partner uses ED drugs.

4. This is ridiculous because many women (38% in fact) are pro-life.

5. The idea of feminist opposition to erections is ridiculous enough for me to start a separate thread to ridicule it.

6. I kind of understand anti-sex feminism (if sex is rape, then no one should have sex). But being sex-positive and anti-erection makes no sense whatsoever.

This is a troll thread. It was designed as a troll thread to troll people who disagree with your ideological bubble.

Get over yourself. Nothing on this thread is serious, including your ridiculous comments.

@maxdancona,
You sound angry when you make comments like "get over yourself".

Pretend I'm making comments and that if I read them aloud, I'd be reading them like I'm Mr. Rodgers. That's the tone I'm writing to you in right now Max.

I'd just like to point out that you didn't respond to any of the 3 points/questions/request for comments (the first one not requiring any comment, but it's in a numbered list, so I included it rather than renumbering).

Quote:

Maybe you could take the 5 items from your list and tell me where they are related to items 2 or 3.

Here, I'll rephrase them and renumber them and I'll even include a question mark so you can understand that I know what a "question" means.

1. How would you feel if ED pills were banned and if women made up the legislative body that banned them?
2. How would you feel if vasectomys were banned and if women made up the legislative body that banned them?

Also, related to trolling...I think one of the key definitions of trolling is that the comment is off-topic. This is a thread where the topic is clearly defined and you seem to be the one off-topic here (this is NOT me calling you a troll, so please don't take it that way).

@maporsche,
Sure... I will play. I don't use ED drugs (although I am getting to be of the age where they are more popular), and I haven't had a vasectomy. But I will play along with this silly game...

1) The gender of legislators is irrelevant. I can't think of an example where I think the gender of my legislators matters. I voted for both of my current senators; Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.

2) I kind of get why you are making a big deal over the gender of legislators, given that abortion does impact a woman and that most of the legislature is male. However, the men in the legislature have passed pro-choice bills which I assume you think is acceptable. And 38% of women are pro-life including some legislators.

I don't see how you can have a democracy if you don't let legislators vote their conscience regardless of there gender.

3) I judge any law by the merit of such law. If ED medication was causing the death of unborn children, I would support legislation against it.
