Hi Hickorystick and welcome to a2k. Thanks for your input and you are correct that sometimes bad decisions will be made albeit intentions are good.
Hoft We don't keep the hawks. The capture and banding is usually done during the fall migration. Once banded it is released to continue the migration. The mate and/or parents often circle overhead to see the fate of the caught hawk. The majority of the caught hawks are immature being led by parents on their first trip south. The adults are more cautious perhaps because they've seen this show before.
I still believe that gorillas could be saved by being integrated into human societies. Chimps clearly belong in jungles and rain forests.
Did thay ever find out how
thay got loose ?
Y did thay tear off his foot ?
What motivates a chimp to chew off someone 's face ?
@OmSigDAVID,
Chimps are basically vicious. You should never go near one of them without a heavy caliber pistol in your hand.

Quoted from a retired officer of the NYPD
after 20 + years on the job:
"You know my motto - be civil to everyone, cordial to no one,
and have a plan to kill everyone you encounter.
Then go have some pizza. ;-)))"
@bobsmythhawk,
I think it's disgusting that a so called santuary would murder two chimps why not dart them and knock them out they're wild animals people not pets!! So typical of human attitudes to animals kill kill kill. It was they're fault for not securing the cages that couple would have done a far greater thing by thinking about the poachers that murder these lovely creatures.
@OmSigDAVID,
Sounds like a plan to me but don't forget the beer with the pizza!!
@OmSigDAVID,
Do you mean the humans or the animals
