I go to a Sushi place all the time and they always ask, "Sushi bar or table?"
Should I reply with "Teburu" or "Shokijichu"?
I thought my reply should be "Shokijichu wa onegai shimasu"
Also what is the difference between "Onegai Shimasu" and "Kudasai"?
Hi chopper9,
you should reply with "Teiburu" or "Sushi Bar."
"Teiburu de onegai shimasu."
"Sushi Bar de onegai shimasu."
"shokujichuu" means "I'm having meal right now," "I'm in the middle of meal."
The difference between "Onegai Shimasu" and "Kudasai" is only the way you use them. Both mean "please~" and "give me ~."
<PLEASE>
GOOD: "Sushi Bar de onegai shimasu" = "Sushi Bar, please."
BAD: "Sushi Bar Kudasai." = "Give me Sushi Bar."
GOOD: "TUna Nigitte(make sushi) Kudasai" = "please make me tuna sushi"
<GIVE>
GOOD: "Tuna Onegai shimasu" = "Give me tuna sushi, please."
GOOD:"Tuna Kudasai" = "Give me tuna sushi."
Hope this helps. =)
