it seems that this site doesn't have it. where can i post questions about costmetics?
i am just wondering if it is really safe to use those electrical sandpaper like devices to sand the face or other areas? i have a scar, i am wondering if it would be something to try it?
I don't know where there's a cosmetic forum (maybe try maybelline.com?) but before I tried sandpaper I'd try Vitamin E. Just get a bottle of capsules, pierce one with a pin, and smear the oil on the scar three or four times a day for a month.
It may very well help, and it won't hurt in the least.

May I ask what sandpaper device you are referring to? I'm not familiar with any.
I don't know exactly what you're talking about, but it sounds like something that should be done by a professional...
I know that ivillage.co.uk has a beauty message board (dedicated to women), but I'm not sure if that would help much with what you're looking for. Maybe you should try the skin care message board on webmd.com - they usually have specialists featured on the site.
Have you tried using one of those Neosporin Scar Solution patches type of thing??
well, i don't know the exact name.
it is like an electrical toothbrush, it has a tiny head, instead of the brush, it has a round thing, you know, those similar devises that people use to polish wood, etc. they are used to polish the facial skin. i have seen it before. so u know what i am talking about?
I've never seen anything like that. Now I'm curious, I feel a Google coming on.

Search strategy: microdermabrasion > home microdermabrasion
A few products I found that seem to fit your description:
DermaNew Classic Microdermabrasion System
Visage Naturel Home Microdermabrasion System
