Here are some cool pictures I took from my window on a particularly foggy night.

These are lovely, reminding me of when I lived in Berkely in the 60's. The kitchen window had a gorgeous view across the Bay; at night, when the fog rolled in, it was magical, really breathtaking.

Thanks for sharing and be sure to post more whenever you can.

I have a bunch of pictures I took from my window. The view was one of the biggest selling points when I bought my condo, and mother nature is quite the artist. I will be sure to post more.

Amazing photos!!!
I envy you with that window!
I bet your rent amount reflects that view huh. Laughing

I lived in San Francisco for 3 years and had a 4th story apt overlooking the haight/ashbury park and intersection.
Needless to say, the rent was horrible.. but the view.. well worth it. Very Happy

Thanks for the feedback. Very Happy

I am lucky enough to own and the mortgage is not as bad as you would think. The view was one of the biggest selling points.

The Picture Gallery thread motivated me to finally upload some pictures so I could post them.

Here is one of Wrigley Field at night.

How clear it is at night to catch moon/star combination pictures?
It looks like it is too bright with the city lights to catch mutch...

What the heck are stars? Yea it is too bright to see many stars. One of the disadvantages of city life I suppose. The light of the city does provide some interesting night shots though.

This link should tell where on earth you'd be able stand looking at a sky full of stars.

Not in Chicago. Na-na.

It is sometimes easy to forget how awesome a sky full of stars looks living in the city. Last year I took a trip to the boundary waters of Canada, it was the wrong time of year for the northern lights, but just the amount of stars you could see was a sight unto itself.

How is the view in Le Paradis?

Sorry!
I had to go fish this one out. Took me a while... but found it.

International Hoods.

<going to the window to look at the sky>
I can actually see quite a few stars. I'm a bit surprised, actually because I do live in the city but as far as the brightness goes... you can certainly tell the difference between the midwest and northeast coast of south america on that map.

Last month I went off to the country roads at night and WOW. It was definitely the most beautiful night sky view I have ever seen in my life. I wish I had taken a pic to post it here. I couldn't stop staring at it.

Wow great fog pics sublime.

Cant imagine living on the 34th floor! Never lived higher up than, eh, 2nd. We're not big on skyscrapers much, in Holland.

Thanks Nimh.
Holland has its own benefits, I spent a week in Amsterdam a few years back and had a great time. I was amazed how laid back the people were.

Nice pics, Sublime. Who needs stars when there are enough planes in the sky heading towards O'hare to fill the sky with twinkling reds and yellows?

We're about 30mins north of you where the stars abound. Sometimes they compete with the planes but we're not on the approach pattern so it's not too bad.

Great shots of Wrigley and the rainbow.
