A minor hit for Gloria Jones in 1965, "Tainted Love" became the big hit for Soft Cell, a new wave/pop duo in 1981. (Did all them boys in England in those days wear too much eye make up?)

Aah, the 80's. I was much too young to know good music from bad (well, I probably still don't know), but at least I know I left the decade with a firm sense of what was my favorite group ever, and that it's a sentiment shared the world over. Too bad that fell apart soon after...

This one is not my favorite track, but, like most of their work, it's catchy as heck Smile
