I am considering getting a tattoo in which I would like the phrase "Believe in Truth" to appear. Since tattoos are very permanent, I'd like a good translation as opposed to one that's... sort of right.
Anyway, the best I've come up with on my own is:
1) Credo Veritas
2) Puto Veritas
Judging from the definitions I've found, I like Credo Veritas better, but I have no experience with Latin and could be completely off.
If it matters, I intend "Believe" in the way that you would believe in God, with complete faithfulness. "Truth" is just truth in its most basic form; the underlying basis of everything... like when you break everything down to the root, you have the undeniable truth.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I think it would be "crede veritati," but I'm not an expert like some people here.
Edit: Silly verbs keep taking the wrong case.
I figured there should be some change in form. Thank you very much!
Putting aside any philosophical questions here, I'd translate that:
Crede in veritatem.
But please solicit other opinions before putting it under your skin.
