Come on over here and sit by me, Gautam. I HATE it when my housecleaner is away! Can't you find someone to do the yard work, too? Ask around. Perhaps one of your neighbors has some teenagers looking for odd jobs? Have them clean out your car while they're at it. Also...doesn't your laundry/drycleaners do ironing? That is cruel & unusual punishment in this heat!

Super G - how tragic! Ironing and laundry and cleaning! And it's above freezing temperatures!

Well - the solution to the shortage of underwear is: SHOP: - they have new ones you can buy and wait until the maid comes back. Or - go commando - but that may affect the line of your clothes Mr. Green Neutral Rolling Eyes

Other suggestions are good. Use the local laundry and get them to iron.

Get the kids to clean your yard, your car, and anything else.

House cleaning - pffffttt! Eat out more - and use dim lighting when you are there - which is not that often. I'm not coming for a while so it doesn't have to be spotless! Twisted Evil The maid will be back eventually. Or - look for that phone number (NO - not that one - the replacement cleaner one!)

Or - invite your mother over - rather than going home to India for holidays.....that'll make sure things get done!

There is a GOD !!!

As I was putting the first load in the washing machine, I came across the scrap of paper on which my maid had written the number of the replacement maid, while emptying my jeans pockets !!!

I thought it was about time to revive this thread, being in full blown procrastination mode right now.
I have to write a job application ... a long & complicated process here in Oz, not just sending your curriculum vitae to a potential employer. And I just HATE the process! Evil or Very Mad So right now I'm trying to talk myself into getting started. I will, I will, I will .......... I'm going to do it, really I am! Rolling Eyes

Anyone else doing the A2K procrastination thing? What are YOU avoiding?

Cleaning! And doing all my paperwork at home... I don't know - they keep saying that in spring you get this urge to clean the house. Well, I don't. But I am working on it! :-)

It is snowing today. So I guess this is not spring which means I do not have to clean! :-)

Olga, bigdice, Nisse and Mysan? Oh well... No, wait a second - BD promised to vacuum today!

Well, you could try - but don't count on too much activity... Actually, my father-in-law is a lot better at cleaning... You might want to contact him!
